Connect to Claude
Once your MCP server is running (see Setup MCP Server), follow these steps to connect it to Claude.
Use the MCP URL shown in FeynmanLM → Studio → Connect MCP. If you use Tailscale, the URL looks like https://your-mac.your-tailnet.ts.net/mcp. If you use the hosted Cloudflare relay, it looks like https://<your-id>.feynmanlm.com/mcp and MCP traffic passes through FeynmanLM-operated Cloudflare infrastructure.
Steps
Go to claude.ai/customize/connectors and click Add Connector.
Enter the connection details from FeynmanLM → Studio → Connect MCP:
Field Value Name FeynmanLMURL The MCP URL shown in Connect MCP Leave Advanced settings blank. Claude supports Dynamic Client Registration, so it should create its own OAuth client automatically.
Click Add, then Connect. Claude completes the OAuth handshake automatically.
Seeing {"error":"invalid_client"}?
Remove the FeynmanLM connector from Claude and add it again with only the MCP URL. That error usually means Claude is trying an old manually entered Client ID instead of registering a fresh dynamic client.
That's it. Claude can now access your source library.
Try It Out
Ask Claude things like:
- "What sources do I have? Give me an overview."
- "Read my latest paper on partial reprogramming and summarize the key findings."
- "Search my sources for anything related to transformer architectures."
- "Quiz me on the paper I just read using the Feynman technique."
See Learning with MCP for more detailed learning workflows.
Disconnecting
Go to Settings → Integrations, find FeynmanLM, and click Remove.
