Driving FeynmanLM over MCP from a Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or Grok subscription you already pay for costs 1¢ per tool call — the subscription is already in your budget, and the cent covers reading and writing your library. Some tokens also go to background work (transcript cleanup, paper metadata extraction, search embeddings) at the same API-plus-15% rate, with the model configurable per task. The app keeps a to-the-cent ledger of every conversation, and a daily spend cap bounds runaway usage.
